The West Gate is located at the western end of the east-west axis in line with Humayun's Tomb. This is the current entry gate for tourists. It is a monumental quartzite darwaza with red sandstone dressing.1 The West Gate's western facade reaches out and funnels people into Humayun's Garden Tomb. The eastern facade is designed like a lookout point, with a garden view at three angles.
